Planting new trees and flowering bulbs

Now is the time to plant young trees and flower bulbs(Oct-Nov). Most of young trees and flower bulbs come with directions on how to plant them, but just in case they don't. The young trees, dig the hole deep enough so the roots will have room to be almost straight up and down not wadded up and have the hole deep enough so that when all the root is in, that you have approximately 1 1/2" of the tree trunk in the ground also. And use a good potting soil. And for the flowering bulbs, they should be in the ground about 4" and well spaced as well as the trees, and use a good potting soil, and cover the potting soil with the earth you dug up, sort of as a blanket for the potting soil. And coming spring you should have some pretty flowers. Some bulbs are annuals and some are bi-annual.

Lawn Prepping

If you're lawn didn't look as healthy this past summer as it should. Now is the time(Oct.-Nov.) to agitate your lawn. After you agitate the lawn, purchase a good lawn fertilizer and spread it over you're lawn. The next spring it should look great, and it will probably keep you busy mowing more often than you have been.
